You will study for 4 years in your institution. You are required to further your microbiology, physiology, biochemistry and anatomy courses. You will be learning to treat your patients in the school clinic. You need these courses so that you will be prepared for other courses in dentistry.

You need to have time management while studying to work in any dental clinic as a part time employee. You can apply as an assistant or a receptionist in the office. Through this way, you can obtain knowledge and experiences that you will not experience in your school. This is also a helpful way for you in the future.

You can immediately take a board examination after graduation. It is commonly in a written style and you also required to treat patients during the duration of your exams. Once you passed the exams, you are given a license in the state after all the requirements.

After passing the tests, you will be given certification as a licensed dentist. You can start your profession in many dental companies in your state. However, if you choose to begin your own firm, you need to comply with the requirements given to you such as hiring your staff. You also have a renewal process after a year.
